Putting a Bug in the ear of the State-Venting and Wishing - Adoption ...

Soooo, uber frustrated at this point and wanting someone else to know about this case.

In general terms, I am the 2nd placement for this FS/FD sibling group. They entered care in their county-moved to my home a few months into the case due to Fosterhome closing.

3mo review-Parents not working plan; 1hr visits remain in place.

6mo review-You guessed right-Asked if I would be adoptive resource and/or long-term fostercare placement and said yes. Visits don't change.

9mo review-Both bios fail drug test and choose to enter drug court; more services offered; case continued 3 mo.

12mo review-Nope-Not changing permanency plan from RU with a parent or relative. 3rd baby born; Dad's been locked up for +drug test last month but let's add Wraparound program for 6-8weeks and get kids ready to go home with extended supervised visits.

14mo review-Lets extend visitation to unsupervised overnight AND the case 4 more months while we see if parents will get off drugs and dad get his services? Wraparound program stays in place as do 4-5more services for parents...

18mo review-What will they try next? Let's buy the family a house and pay for maid service, taxi service and.....??

I really would like to know if this case is being handled properly do they really have the choice to NOT file motion to TPR? The parents have had 15 months with NO kids to clean their act up. Even knowing they have random drug screens they are still doing drugs and trying to tamper with tests to pass them?? I don't undestand how that's showing committment to the children? Why send kids on unsupervised overnight visits to drug users!!! Why continue to pay for all of these programs when they can't obey the first order the court gave them---DONT USE DRUGS!
